Gacha Guide Google Creative Lab

The brief presented to us by Google Creative Lab, tasked us with creating a form of visual communication that responded to the lifestyle changes that have manifested in society from COVID lockdowns.

I created a service called Gacha Guide, derived from the concept of gachapon toy capsules from Japan. Users would be offered vouchers and recommendations for restaurants and places in Sydney city to explore, a design upgrade to the Dine and Discover program.

This service responds to the decrease in socialisation among youth and the economic decline in the dining and nightlife sectors due to COVID lockdowns. The service is visually communicated through a promotional motion graphics video, complete with a cute mascot and narrator.
